Manifesto · 2024
Wellbeing is infrastructure, not an app.
For a decade, workplace wellness has been a marketplace problem - classes booked, meditations downloaded, gym memberships subsidized. None of it survives contact with a Tuesday afternoon.
Binqo begins from a different premise. The most powerful interventions are organizational. They live in the meeting graph, the manager's habits, the structure of the day.
Three convictions
One. Energy is a team metric. Recovery, like attention, must be designed for at the level of the team, not the individual.
Two. Managers are the intervention. The WHO is clear: training and supporting line managers does more than any consumer app can.
Three. Calm beats engagement. We refuse streaks, badges, and the architecture of attention-capture. Binqo's job is to be useful and quiet.
What we will not build
We will not build a marketplace of meditation teachers. We will not build wearables. We will not gamify rest. We will not surveil the individual on behalf of the employer.
